I will keep looking in the archives but I'm not having any luck. I am buying 17x9.5 rims and I want to put 275's all around. Can I do this with my 89 IROC? I really want these tires and wheels to fit. Any help is greatly appreciated. If you think I will get better responses on a different board let me know.

I don't think they will fit. With a stock camaro, a tire with a width bigger than 245 is not recommended in the front and 255 in the back. Not just that but its not recommended to put rims on your car bigger than 17X8. You could mount these rims and tires on the car but listen. You would have to use wheel spacers in the front to fit the tires. Probablt one or town. Wheel spacers in the back too. I suggest you raise the car by installing higher springs or your fender will be digging into the tread of the tire everytime you hit a bump. Now, here are the good results and the bad results from doing all this. The good result is....You can put the tires you want on the car, your car will leave a bigger footprint and add better traction, it may look cool. The bad result is that you won't be able to steer your car because the tires will be digging into your wheel wells when you turn the steering wheel, the tires will be sticking out of the wheel wells which is illegal in most states due to the effect it has on drivers behind you in the rain, your handling will change dramatically. No, it WILL fit! In a pretty recent Super Chevy article they gave the largest rim sizes they could put on a third gen Camaro. This is what they said:
17x8 all around with 4.5" of backspacing
(255/40 R17)

17x8 front with 4.5" of backspacing
(255/40R17)
17x9.5 rear with 5.5" of backspacing
(285/40R17)

17x9.5 all around with 5.5" of backspacing
(275/40R17)

Just so you know, they put 275's all around on a Camaro that was lowered one full inch and had NO clearance problems without using spacers.
That's the gospel according to Super Chevy!

I have 275/40/17 fronts 315/35/17 rears...ZR1 wheels...2.5" & 1.25" adapters to make them fit. They do not rub at all.
