Suspension
Hey everyone! I recently purchased a 86 Iroc-Z and I want to upgrade the suspension. I plan to have around 550 horsepower going to the rear axle so I know I need to do something to rear end. Is there a coil over shock set up for these cars? And is there a different axle set up that will bolt in? I would also like to make this car worthy of a road circuit, and would like to know what modifications to the suspension are nessacary for me to achive this and what results should I expect after adding these parts?

Re: Suspension
There's 2 stickies at the top here - Ultimate 3rd gen suspension-part 1 & part 2 - there's alot of info there.
Rear end you'll need to put in something else, like a 9in or Moser or something, I'm no rear end expert.
Basics you'll need to look at:
Wonderbar if don't have
Strut Tower Brace
Sub-Frame Connectors (a must regardless of HP or use)
Adjustable Panhard Rod
New bushings all around
New basics - tie rod ends, ball joints, idler arm, center link, etc.
Then there's Lower Control Arms - I don't know much about these and their application yet, some folks box theirs, some get replacements. And there's LCA mounts as well.
Read through some of the threads here, and check the sponsors like UMI, Spohn, etc. (ads to your right), and you'll get a better idea.
