Just got a quote from a suspension shop.....

WHAT THE #$%&?!!?

I go in, and tell them I need a "slight pull to the right" fixed on my front end, as well as a check on a "clicking" sound coming from my back-right wheel when I brake....

Guy calls me up 3 hrs later and gives me the estimate.....$1,042.02!!!!!!

I was like "Uhh.... excuse me?"

Then he gets into naming all these parts I need, practically everything in the book..

I think this idiot is tryin to sell me a whole new suspension! There is no way in hell I need all the **** done to my suspension that he said!!!

All I want is to get the pull fixed and find out what's up with my brakes for crying out loud...

Sorry, just had to vent....

take it to another shop!!! either your frame is bent or you need an alighnment, did you ask him what the specific problems were? relay the the message to us so we can figure out what $1000 is going towards. I replaced my entire suspension and then some with that kind of money!

It sounds like he's full of $h1t to me.

But I took my car to Kragen over in Oakland cause they were having a alignment sale one day and they told me all kinds of stuff cause my adjusting sleeves were stuck. A little WD40 and five minutes later I could turn em with ease.

I went down there yesterday to straighten it out...

Basically, that list of bull-**** things they said "needed" to be done, were not that critical...they said for the most part, my suspension looks pretty good, but over the course of the next 5 years, I'll have to do some replacing, which is cool with me...I just didn't wanna have to spend $1000 in one shot!

My car goes in Tuesday morning, and will get a front-end alignment, new brake pads, and lubrication of the gears... all for $285.00

Now that's sounds reasonable... LoL

By the way, the shop is East Bay Frame & Axle

Chassis guys are ****$. My brother took his car down to have a 12 pnt. cage welded in 2 months ago, and it's still isn't off the trailer after $1700! I swear this guy must just jerk off all day.
