Hi All
I have a 89 firebird with stock suspension and steering. I think it's now about time I did some upgrades as the car leans to the left and the wheel alignment is out, it pulls to the left and also when braking heavily it also pull to the left.
I know that the suspension and steering components differed on base firebirds/formulas/trans-ams/gtas, but what are the differences ?
What do people recommend when doing a suspension and steering upgrades ?
Thanks
Geoff

I believe by 89 all f-bodies got the faster ratio steering, so that should be fine. Otherwise different models could have different diameter sway bars, spring strength, and even different shocks. If you really want a top-notch steering/suspension in your car replace it all. Replace your old worn out bushings with polyurethane bushings, get good sway bars from a WS6 firebird or IROC if you have the smaller ones, get a good set of springs, replace the center link and end links, replace the panhard rod and LCA's with good tubular pieces, new shocks, etc... All these parts are interchangable between all V8 models. V6 models since they are lighter in the front would have different springs and sway bars.
