SS wheels

Not sure if this is the right forum...

Anywhoo I might buy some of the 16" SS (ala ZR1) style wheels. I have 15" Z28 wheels on now. I believe I need wheels spacers.
For front and back? what size? thanks

You need 2.25" in the front and 1.5" in the rear I think. Go to skulte.com that is where I got mine very nice pieces and great to deal with.

I used 1.75 inch spacers on the front, and 1.25 spacers on the back for my 17X9 Camaro SS wheels with 275/40 tires.

mine do not stick out any worse than stock. Not sure what to tell you. Bigger in the front, less you have to worry about the tire hitting the fenderwell.

In the rear you have alot more room to work with, so 1.25 or 1.5 will work just fine. Since my IROC is lowered I wanted to move the wheels as far inboard as I could without hitting anything. The end link would be the first thing you would hit on the inside, and I have a tenth of an inch clearance with the 1.75 front spacer.

I just got a set of 17x9.5 ZR1 rims for my car and they are the 56mm offset and have a 7.4 inch backspacing. What size adapters should i use on my Z28? Where have you guys been getting your adapters at. I have seen them in vette books and truck books for alot less then what the skulty place has them for, but i dont know if they are the same thing. Thanks

Ben,

I got my adapters at Mc Motor sports.

www.accessories-plus.com/html/prices3.html

I would guess that you need 2 inch in the front and 1.75 inch in the rear. This is just a guess on my part, based on 7.4 inch back spacing.

Bolt spacing is 4.75 inches, the same on 3rd and 4th Gen F-bodies.
