Rear Brakes?
Rear Brakes?
I test drove an 88 Iroc w/305 the other day, and the owner said the rear brakes were "jumpy" because they were new. They were extremely jumpy. Depressing the pedal at any speed to slow down results in a "thump thump thump" that you can feel from the rear. Will this correct itself or am I looking at an expensive repair if I get into buying this car? Curious....
Thanks

There is something wrong with them, either installed wrong or wrong parts.
Brakes aren't "jumpy" when new, only when there is a problem.
Have it looked at buy a mechanic before you buy it, if the guy won't let you take it to a shop for a looksy, hes hiding something. Shop elsewhere.

Jumpy brakes because of new parts? This guy is full of it. Sounds like warped rotors to me from past experience, can be expensive.Have it checked out before you buy it.Good luck.
