Will my front suspension need to be redone to put in a big block?

I'm putting in an Olds. 455 in my '86 Firebird with a 305. Will my front springs and suspension need to be replaced to handle the new power and weight or will stock be fine? Also, where can I find sub frame connectors for my car so it will be able to handle the new torque that the 455 will crank out? Anything else I might need to cover? Thanks for your time!

i would say the front end will be allright, the engine probley weights about 150 lbs more, so basically just sit on the front of your car and look how it sits, thats how it will with the new engine, probley only a inch or 2 lower, if its a big deal then all you need to do is swap out the springs, southside machine also make a great frame tie kit for the 3rd gens.

some strong new WS6 or IROC springs might be a good idea.

Where can I find "Southside Machine" on the web to get that sub frame connectors from them? Thanks for your input!
