what do you think about this?
what do you think about this?
well i want to beef up my suspension heres what im thinking about
KYB gas struts 49.95 each
KYB GR-2 Rear shocks 16.95 each
Eibach Drag-launch springs 269.95 set
Addco sway bars 149 each
Energy Brushings 117 set
my question is do i need new sway bars or are stock ones of, also if you saw my other thread, do i need anything else to fix my problem, and are there anything wrong with these items listed???

You didn't say what your intended purpose of the car is going to be.
Without knowing that there is no way to make good desisions on parts compatibility or suitability.
I don't know how much you know about suspension tuning and the parts you mentioned but I'll start with some basics.
The drag launch springs are specifically designed to unload weight from the front of the car onto the rear wheels to maximize straight line traction. The rear springs are also designed to help balance the "torquing" effect on the rear axle.
These springs are good for hard launches at the drag strip only. They suck for daily driving, and suck harder for handling in turns. drag springs = good for drag racing.
drag springs = bad for handling.
A stiffer front swaybar will counteract the effects of the drag launch springs. The stiffer front bar will slow and reduce weight transfer to the rear tires. It will reduce body roll when turning which is good for street driving. The front swaybar is often removed for drag racing.
stiff front bar = good for handlng.
stiff front swaybar = bad for drag racing.
A stiffer rear swaybar can be helpful for both drag racing and turning. A stiffer rear swaybar reduces body roll when turning and reduces the rear axle torquing during a hard drag launch.
stiff rear bar = good for handling when balanced with the front bar.
A stiff rear bar = good for drag racing especially if preloaded to help reduce axle torquing even more.

yea, this is my first car, and basically im learning as i go, so i dont know anything about suspension, yet. my car will be used for everyday use, but im also planning on taking it to the strip, and of coarse to race any riceboy i see. in the summit magazine, for the springs, it says "drag launch springs are proven to lower cars ¼ mile time by two- to four tenths of a second, yet maintain your cars streetability", is this true, or just a bunch of bull****

It's true, the Drag-Launch Springs will drop your ET by transferring weight to the rear better, but you may have to disconnect one end of your front sway bar to make them work. You have to decide whether you want this thing to plant the tires hard in a straight line or handle like a Vette in the turns,You can't really have it both ways.
If you're going to drag race this thing, switch to manual steering box off an S10,run 15x3-1/2" front wheels and 90/10 drag struts(or adjustable struts) up front.
If you want it to handle better on the street, install some lowering springs (Eibach Sportline or Pro-Kit), the KYB's and the bushings/swaybars you want.

ok, the pro-kit springs say they lower the car about 1", is my car lower than what is was stock, do the springs compress after a while?
