coilover for street/strip
I am swapping a bbc into my 88'rs, i am looking to get front and rear coilovers from spohn. It is getting built for drag racing, but i do drive on the street all the time. it is going to be my 9 sec DD
.
are coilovers recommended for the street? i need to get a lot of weight transfer to get a good launch for a high 9 sec pass. also, my car should weight 3300lbs or less with me in it, don't know if this matters as far as coilovers are concerned.
what front shocks would be good with the spohn pro drag kit? QA1? how about the rear shocks?

Re: coilover for street/strip
I run single 12 way adjustable coil overs on the back but also have the car back halved. Double adjustable would be better.
On the front I use Koni SPA1 struts with Moroso trick springs. As much as I'd like coil overs on the front, there's too much to modify to make sure the inner fenders can handle the weight after coming down off a wheelie. When I want to pull the front end off the ground, I adjust the SPA1's to full soft. If I tighten them up, it's a lot easier to keep the wheels on the ground. Depends if I'm in competition or just test and tuning.
