leaf spring suspention

would an early 80's monte carlo have leaf springs in the rear?

both f-bodys off the road now. bought a 1968 ford galaxie (aka:the rust bucket). best $100 i ever spent. faster than hell though. the 3 modos of life.1 never get less than 12 hours of sleep.2 never play cards with a guy that has the same name as a major city.3 always drive an f body.

edelbrock aircleaner
K&N air filter
accel super stock coil
accel 8mm plug wires
autolite platnum plugs
used headers
custom dual exhaust
thrush turbo mufflers
3:90 gears on the way!

Axle/Gears: 3.08/ 3.23
I'm not truely sure but, I think when they changed body styles to the 86 looking (no clue when that happened, 82 maybe??) monte's they went to 4-link/coil spring rears like the caprice classic's had.

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
The A-body/G-body cars were always coil spring rear suspension based on a 4-link system.

Hmm,, for some reason I had in my mind the 78/80-ish body styles had leafs. Brain-fart I guess

Maybe it was leaf prior to '78, but all the '78-87 G-bodies rode on four coils.
