Help with suspension

Hello,

I have a 1986 Camaro Iroc. I was underneath today and noticed my right side tie-rod was bent, and all my bushings and joints/ends were shot. to replace the front suspension parts in need of replacement with high quality, but I am trying to do it as cost effectively as possible. I found a set of moog inner and outer tie rods on rock auto for a decent price. The center link joints on either end look shot? Is there any way to replace those or do I have to replace the whole bar? Further more the car needs shocks and springs. Does anyone have the Moog/Acdelco part numbers from rock auto for Stock IROC Springs? I would would like the drop the car an inch but its my understanding that I would new lower control arms, and a new panhard bar and at this point its more than i want to invest. Anything else that should be replaced?

You don't need new lca's or pan bar, if you're only dropping an inch chances are the rear won't be off center.

Re: Help with suspension

An adjustable panhard bar is a necessity if you want to do it right. You don't absolutely need it for your car to function but don't plan on getting the car aligned if you lower it and don't get one. Sometimes the rearends can even be out of center from the factory so sometimes its just a good upgrade in general.

LCA's wont technically be needed but relocation brackets many would recommend.

Re: Help with suspension

I dropped an inch with the Eibach Pro-kit springs. No LCA's or relocations needed, but an adju panhard bar is recommended. I'm using the Edelbrock bar, not expensive and does fine.

It's well worth it to do ball joints, tie rod ends, centerlink, and idler arm. With the age of the car, it's way overdue.
