Well, I got the answer for my strut question, now I have one for you guys who are running aftermarket tubular a-arms with the stock k-member. I am using the BMR units that are non-adjustable and now that I have the one side done and load weight to the suspension, I find the end link for the sway bar tilts in towards the frame where as the oppisite side which I have not changed yet and still has the stock control arm on has the end link basically straight up and down. My concern is that with suspension travel while corner carving and such, the end link will come in contact with the frame. I've checked everything and double checked and I can't find any reason for this. I have contacted BMR about this today and am waiting for their response. Does anyone else have the same issue when hooking up the end links for the sway bar? Thanks again for any insight and your experience with this issue.

 

did you install the end link with the suspension loaded or hanging?

 

Your swaybar will recenter itself after everything is hooked up and the car is driven around the block to settle the suspension.

Swaybars move side to side in the chassis mount bushings.

 

I did it both ways, loaded and unloaded, the results were the same. I'm hoping that once I have the car back together and the weight of the car on the front suspension so I can tighten and torque everything properly that it will recenter itself. Other than that little problem, I really like the way all the new parts went together and am looking forward to some corner carving to see how all the components work together in making the car handle even better than it did before.

 

Then give it a little swift kick (make sure of course your jack stands are stable enough to handle a little swift kick- food for thought)
