Re: body flex
Really has little to do with power like mentioned - it's simple driving. Entering a driveway at an angle so your air dam doesn't scrape flexes that car alot. Engine power has very little to do with it - until you get into stickies and clutch dumps, 1000 hp motor won't flx the car anymore than 150 hp.

Re: body flex
put the subframes on anyway. GM didnt stick the 350tpi behind a Ttop car for a reason. I had cracks in the corners of my doors in my stock formula 350.
Re: body flex
Hardtops all cracked along the upper corners. Its just body flex, V6's got it just as bad
Also, 350 and T-tops were available, just not all years
SFC's are a good idea for any 3rd gen, V6, stock, super mods, whatever

Re: body flex
I'd say that car would want quality subframes and a 6 point roll bar, with 620hp you're well into the 10 second range at the track and it would be a safety requirement regardless.

Re: body flex
Didnt GM beef up the later years chassis inorder to accomodate the 350?

Re: body flex
agreed, first time u hit the 11.99 sec barrier there not gona let you do anymore runs. A 6pt is required at 11.99s and 6pt means door bars, hoop and rear bars... trans tunnel bars are not included in a 6pt. And putting 6pt bars (hoop, trans tunnel and rear bars) is not legally a 6pt roll bar.

11.49 or faster and 13.49 for convertibles.
