87 iroc Wonderbar?
87 iroc Wonderbar?
Hi, I have an 87 iroc. I am noticing a crack forming below my steering box. One like people talk about that the wonderbar is suppose to help relieve stress on that point of the car. It has what looks like a wonderbar. Was this car suppose to have a factory one? Are the aftermarket ones any better for stopping the crack from getting worse? Or do I have nothing to worry about? Thanks.

Re: 87 iroc Wonderbar?
Any wonderbar should stop or slow down any cracking. I believe they are all much the same. I got one from TDS. Their selling point is that it has 3 bolts each side instead of the standard 2. Big deal? Anyway, if you can see a crack it's probably best to get it welded.
