loud bang from rear passenger tire area

Ok so i thought at first it was the spare tire in the back making the bang when i take off hard from a stop, so i took that out and it still happens.

anybody have this bang before or can tell me how to go about diagnosing the bang

Re: loud bang from rear passenger tire area

The trans mount is usually characterized by feeling a "bang" through your shifter tunnel. If you're pretty sure it's in the back right area, check the springs, shocks, LCA's and anything else in that area. It should be pretty apparent what's "not right" in that area.

Re: loud bang from rear passenger tire area

Im having a similar bang when i go over a big bump or in a pot hole. Happens to be the back panel that covers the rear hatch motor that's jumping up and down. Might not be the case for you though.

Re: loud bang from rear passenger tire area

could be a trashed panhard bar bushing, or loose bolt.

a bad shock will do that too.
