One finger steering
Is there an easy way to make the steering way more difficult? Is there a better steering box out there? A pulley change to reduce the power steering assist? I'm open to suggestions.
It feels like a video game, there's no road feel or feedback. The car has been to an alignment shop and it didn't make any difference.
Installing a rack and pinion is out of the question as is losing power steering entirely.

Is the suspension all stock?
There is a quick ratio box, most IROCS have it. You could alwasys swap to a manual box!

put wider tires on it, aside from that, you would have to have the box revalved to get different road feel

Re: One finger steering
Personally, I almost wish the steering was a bit easier. With newish front steering components, an adjusted quick box, an Astro Van shaft (and bearing), and wide tires--coupled with a T-5, this geezer is worn out at day's end
.
Here's some general info (I'd like to give credit, but I don't recall where I found the info):
• “WS” – 1982-1992 Camaro – 12.7:1 ratio (just like your Z/28, this may be the box that you Z originally had.
• “XH” – 1985-1992 Camaro – 12.7:1 ratio (this box was also installed on Z/28’s and other high performance Camaros; it has slightly more steering effort required than the WS box.) NOTE – I believe this box was used on cars originally equipped with 16” wheels
• “WN” – 1982-1985 Camaro – 14.1 ratio
• “WP” – 1982-1985 Camaro – 13:1-15:1 variable ratio (used in Berlinettas, least steering effort required of all third gen. Camaro steering boxes)
• “JL” – 1986-1992 Camaro – 14.1 ratio (base Camaro steering box)

Re: One finger steering
Hey ynk1121.
The most cost effective way to add steering effort would be with with caster/camber plates. A few degrees caster sharpens things up.
JamesC's list is nice and indeed the 12.7 box would be desirable if you don't have it already.
Oh, and an underdrive pulley may help a tiny bit.
My low buck vote would be UD pulley, 12.7 box and our caster/camber plates.
Let us know how you make out.
