NEED SUPPORT
The support is for the car, not me. I will be replacing my shocks, struts, and strut bearings in the next few weeks and would like to know if this can be done effectively with just jack stands. Also would it be better to place the stands under the car's jacking locations or a portion of the suspension like the spring seats(front) and axel (rear)?
I plan to drop in Koni Reds and J&M Bearings and, yes, I will have the car aligned after the installation is done. Thanks for any advice offered>

Re: NEED SUPPORT
it can absolutely be done on just stands , put the stands on the sub frame ( if you look in you owners book it will show it ) just make sure you get it high enough so you can swing the a arms low enough to get the spring out ( be careful use a chain or strap them to the a arm so they don't fly) . Some guys like to get the whole car off the ground but that's up to you .

Re: NEED SUPPORT
Thanks, Dan but I don't have coil overs, so why do I need to remove the springs? I was actually thinking of putting the jack stands under the spring seats to keep them compressed. Is this a good or bad idea?

Re: NEED SUPPORT
putting the jack stands under the a-arms, as far outboard as you can, will be fine to support things while you change the struts. And you do not have ot remove the springs, i think that was just a mistake by DAN, must have thought you were installing springs at the same time
