I'm replacing my Gabriel VST's with a new set of Bilsteins all around. I can't remember, and my cheap Haynes manual doesn't say, but the two lower mounting bolts that go into the spindle....are they "splined" near the head of the two bolts?? I can't remember.

My cheap manual says to just remove them, but I seem to recall running the nuts to the end of the bolt and having to hammer them through the first 1/2" or so due to the splines...unless I'm confusing them with my old Cavalier....anyone know??

no, they are just bolts. no splines
