Hi, I know the answer is out there.. I have read several posts and just cant seem to find a clear answer to the question I have..

I am building a street/strip car. I want the pro street look but not having to cut nothing. I don't want to modify any part of the fenders.

I want the widest tire I can fit and smaller tires in the front.. Thinking 6" wide in front.

Rear wheels. I need to know best backspace for rear to get the widest tire I can and it not stick out past the fender. Do you have disc or drum brakes? is car lowered?

Front wheels. What is the best back space and width wheel and tire to sit under there nice?


Challenge to you.. Post some pics for us to see your ride and wheel combinations.. Give us some details on front and rear back space. Did you have to modify anything to run them?

Maybe this will not get so confusing. I am not looking for 10" wide tired all the way around.. Just a clean look for the street/strip.

did you happen to read the stickies and posts in the wheel and tire section? that is what most of your questions pertain to. there are also numerous threads covering all these issues....all in the wheel and tire section.

 

I am still new to this site.. Having trouble moving around to try and find the answers I need. I have not seen a wheel and tire section.. I was looking by typing in the search box.. I will look and see if I can find that section though.. Thanks!

 

When you find it can you pm me the link/links? Thanks. Some hammering may need to be done but no cutting well maybe cut the bump stop out. But I'm currently looking for same info on bs and tire size for the rear.
