this is probably gonna sound a but newbish, but my I need help figuring out my front suspension, its got a stupid lowering kit on the front a good 2-3 inches(stock on the back) its the way I got it, and I need to fix my ride height, my mechanic says it should be a strut or a coil over conversion, instead im finding the shock mounted inside the wheel well and the coil mounted seperately on the a-arm, any ideas what it could be, time is of the essence here, I was injured during military training so im operating on the schedule of other people who can drive my car for me

The coil mounted inboard of the strut is the stock configuration for these cars. It's called Modified Macpherson strut.

Sounds like you just have lowering/cut springs in there

Re: help identifying front suspension modification
What you describe is a factory stock setup. The low ride height as Pablo says could be attributed to a set of lowering springs in the front or cut stock springs. If the rear is factory like you say, its more likely the front springs were cut. a new set of front springs will bring it back up, could do the rears as well since the rears are a cake walk. Any car knowing buddy of yours could help you do the rear springs for free.

And maybe think twice about dealing with that mechanic again.
