Front suspension issue

My car is a 1990 Camaro RS V6 3.1L

So the other day I got on the highway and felt my front end start shaking when I hit about 50. Got back home after running places all day and never ended up going over 40 and it didn't shake. Went home late that night and it was shaking again about 50 is when it started.

Next day got up and checked out my car and I noticed the outside half of my front tires were bald. So I jacked it up and found, correct me if I'm wrong I know only so much about cars, but I believe its my sway bar that connects the front tires was loose and moveable.

The driver side I can see what part where it connected some kind of arm about a foot? long had a bolt break that connected the sway bar.

The driver side there was not little arm or bolt.

need to know what parts these are I'm looking for and how much I can expect to spend on them. I tried searching this but couldn't really find anything that I could tell if thats what the parts were. Would they be sway bar arms or something along those lines? and the bolts just be like a connecting or joint bolt?

Thanks!
Randy

Re: Front suspension issue

Sounds more like tie rods not sway bar. If so the car may be dangerous to drive. Try to get pics and/or someone who knows more about cars to give the correct description.

Welcome to TGO, randy. Check the stickies at the top of the page for pics/info about the front suspension.

Re: Front suspension issue

I believe its my center link outer tierods and idler arm are all lose amd have lots of play that are causing the wearing of my tires. But what's the other bar that goes across side to side in the front because that's what has parts missing.

Re: Front suspension issue

Your sway bar will go from one lower control arm to the other. That will have no effect on your tires. If they are balding on the outside then you have a Tie rod issue.

Sway bar. It should have an endlink on each side.
