How do I rotate my new idler arm?

This may be a stupid question but I just got my new Moog Idler arm and I can't get the dang thing to rotate.

How do I get it to look like this:

Instead of this:

I'll give that a shot. I tried that with a previous new arm and it busted the bottom plate where the grease point is. Hopefully that one was defective to begin with.

the idler arm is suppose to move right and left. when they are new they can be real tight . sounds like the old one was bad or you had pivoted the joint in a bind and forced it

Yup, this one moved how I wanted it to. Fit right in there without a problem. Thanks!

No problem, sometimes there is movement when you mount the idler to the frame make the center link look level or as close too it if there is movement. HTH
