Rear passengers willing to crack their heads open on the main hoop/ rear stays or eat a mouthful of harness bar is all that is required.

A properly build roll bar and a back seat should never be used together.
do a search for my screen name on here to see how I did my roll bar in a street driven car. Also see www.frrax.com and www.corner-carvers.com.
The roll bar, seat, and harness all work together. Get one of them wrong and you and others can be seriously injured or killed in even a minor fender bender on the street. Do the homework first.
