Not in the least. Like I said, Delrin does not require additional lubrication. There is no need for a zerk.

Delrin does have a zerk, like the pictures above.
And I myself have decided and ordered Global West one.

I wonder if those who are willing to use poly don't care about a zerk...
I think none of poly bushes have a zerk, except for something like bmr or umi tublar a-arms.

You can see why the poly bushings are a really bad idea.

The GW delrins along with Spohn do have zerks. They are there because some people cannot wrap there head around the fact that they do not need to grease them, and the fact that people just love when things are "greaseable".

Re: Delrin Bushings

Not all poly is created equal as well. As i said i have polygraphite bushings in mine which are supposed to be self-lubricating with the graphite impregnated into the bushing. Ive run them for one season and not one squeak. Hell my 2003 focus svt has more squeaks than the camaro.

On Spohn's website, there's a video of Steve Spohn talking about his Delsphere (Delrin-Spherical) products. And that they don't need lubricating. But he puts the grease fittings on them just because people want them.

Re: Delrin Bushings

Mr Brooks (RWB___s), Been a long time bud. Hope life is treating you well in the Midwest, You are missed in So Cal.

I just opted for Poly in mine and never had issues with them. poly is inexpensive and there are other weaknesses that need to be addressed with the A-arm in flex of the ears in longitudinal thrust on a bump or pothole. Poly is terrible for a rear control arm because that joint pivots and articulates...however the A-arm bushings only pivot and when the poly bushings are torqued down onto the inner sleeve length there is still no bind on the bushing to pivot. Granted the Delrin is a far better product and will last 3x as long as poly, poly is still a good choice for an A-arm bushing.

edit for additional info. Steve Spohn and I talked about the Delshere joints when he was designing them. I had suggested Delrin to him and showed him a link to Currie Enterprizes JohnnyJoints many years back. Steve and I talked about whether they needed greasing and I remeber him saying it wouldn;t hurt just to machine in zerks for customer piece of mind- and I agreed.

As for squeaks, I have never had an issue with poly. I have them on all my vehicles except my racecar (that has solid aluminum bushings from Guldstrand- '68 Corvette. not a 3rd gen F-body- matter of fact I think Mr Brooks here is the only one to ever ride in it come to think of it) Anyways, I always lube my poly bushings completely coated with Mobil1 red synthetic grease on assembly and have never had an issue with sqeaks. I do the same on my coil springs also when I put them into the spring pocket, etc.
