When it comes to steering components, what is better?
Looking to rebuild the Front suspension and steering components (i.e.- Tie Rods, Ball Joints, Centerlink, Tie rod Sleeves, Sway Bar Bushings)
Driving habits will be aggressive with very sporadic track time, mainly just for fun, no competition. I plan on keeping the car for a long time, so quality is important but I am also aware that some parts may be less expensive but still provide quality....Also there are possible autocross ambitions to consider...
What I have already, but not yet installed:
1-Moog 5662's
2- Koni Adjustable Yellow's
Already decided to go with the Del-A-Lum A-Arm bushings and Energy Suspension for the Sway Bar
But there is still the rest of the front end to consider-Tie rods, centerlinks, tie rod sleeves, ball joints etc.
So here is what I have noticed-
Moog - Cheapest, but widely used
Spohn - Expensive, why? Is the increased cost justifiable?
Are there any other mfg's that you recommend?
Thanks!
Chuck

I went with Moog. Buy from rockauto.com and it'll be even cheaper.
I didn't see the cost of Spohn's stuff as being worth it, they're all wear items.

Spohn does all the leg work for you; orders it all, makes sure it's the right stuff, sends it in one neat package. He doesn't "manufacture" steering parts and such. May very well be Moog in fact, at least some of it.
IMO that's worth something if you don't even know what you're really looking for.
I wouldn't pay for it, but that's just me. But for someone that just wants to make sure there's no errors and doesn't have the knowledge to get it right the first time themselves, there's CONSIDERABLE value in what he does.

I lied!
I didn't use all Moog. I went with UMI adjusting sleeves, and after I ordered a pair of KYB strut mounts and decided I didn't like them, I went with Founders CC Plates.
