Hey everyone, just had a quick inquiry or two on some things that need replacing in my 92 Firebird.

I've removed quite a bit of weight from the front of the car (AC system, emissions crap, aftermarket headers, will probably put on a lightweight hood, etc), and I plan to swap in an LT1 soon, which is probably a lighter engine than the factory 305 that's in there given the aluminum heads and such (to the best of my knowledge). Given that the car is on a diet, the front end is sitting quite a bit higher than it used to because the springs were never changed out, I simply couldn't afford to do it at the time. Now that I can, I need some recommendations on what springs I could go with to bring the height down and give it a proper stance, as well as better handling and ride quality.

That aside, I'm also interested in putting in a manual rack-and-pinion setup so that I can remove the power steering pump and such. Would I be able to do that in this car? And if so, what does that involve and what parts would I be looking at?
