Anyone have the Spohn Pinto R&P in their car?I. Am thinking about getting the Spohn setup with the K-member,a-arms,front coil overs and the pinto R&P.is the pinto R&P just a novelty or is it worth while for a stree car?

 

There is significant amounts of weight to be saved, but just a cursory look leads me to believe there will be a lot of bumpsteer with the width of those racks.

A racing rack and pinion could get you correct width, but there's a lot of fabrication involved in something like that too.

 

I don't know who spohn uses for their rack and pinion, the one I have is from Unisteer, they shorten the rack for our Camaro's. If you are getting a k-Member at the same time you can get the rack mounts put on it, you will need a bump steer kit and will have to get a steering shaft. If you go to PA racing, they have a nice steering shaft kit for our cars.
