Any info or pics of 4 link suspension convert/ Jacking bolts/ torsion bars???

I am thinking of a 4 link suspension conversion, either coil overs or jacking bolt spring buckets & shocks. I'm wondering about the torsion bar going from Trans to Rear end and what its porpois is? Also the cross torsion bar on rear end compared to an upper mount J bar? I am doing a complete refab and have welding and fabrication experience for the job at hand.. just looking for insite for road race/ street car handeling.. thanks in advance Dave

A proper 4-link conversion on a third gen means doing a complete back half of the car.

The "torque arm" that goes from the back of the transmission to the diff keeps the diff from rotating around it's axis because third gens use something similar to a 3-link system.

The diagonal link behind the diff keeps it centered under the car.

There's nothing wrong with a third gens torque arm suspension system. An upgrade with aftermarket components just makes it even better.
