Torque arm relocation bracket
Torque arm relocation bracket
I have an 88 IROC 5.7 700r4, i have tried the UMI 2228 and the BMR TCC017 and both move the trans up. The UMI pushes it up 1/2 inch and the BMR pushes it up a heavy 5/8 inch, has anyone used either one and experienced the same? Thanks
Re: Torque arm relocation bracket
I am using an energy suspension poly bushing to replace a 20 year old es poly that actually measures the same height as the new one with both using the preload plates. I also went to autozone and bought a new rubber one that is virtually the same height. When i put a straight edge across the center of the bolt holes and measure the pad height, the factory is 5/8 heavy space, the umi is 1/8, and the bmr pad is actually higher than the straight edge. When i sit the tranny down on these the universal is instantly in an awkward position. I tried searching the forum to see if anyone else had this issue and didnt see any. Thanks

I have the other style UMI trans crossmember with drive shaft loop, I use a prothane mount. Alot of people have problems with the energy sus. and the preload plate
