Is there a difference between V6 (3.4L) and V8 (5.7) rear axles in the 4th gen Camaro

Hello guys! I live in small country in Europe and I have a 1991 RS with 3.1l V6. Right now I'm planing to swap it with the LS1 from the corvette. However I know that it would be better if I would buy a rear axle of the 4th gen. My question would be. Is there a difference between V6 (3.4L) and V8 (5.7) rear axles in the 4th gen Camaro?

Because I have an option to buy a 3.4L V6 of the 4th gen rear axle right hear in my country.

Thank you in advance

The ones in V8 cars generally have better gears than the 6-cyl ones, and may come with limited-slip differentials. Also, 93-97 is different from 98-2002. Apart from that they are the same.

Besides having better brakes in some years, and the 4th gen being about 3½" longer than your 91, there is no real difference between the one you have and a 4th gen.
