Mystery power steering box

I have a power steering box on my 1988 camaro sport coupe with the number 7819688 cast on it. Is this a box for a third gen camaro? The box was leaking so I bought a replacement from summit Cardone 276550. When I tried to swap the steering boxes today I found that the pitman arm from the original box was smaller than the Pittman arm required for my replacement box. Does this mean I have to get a third gen camaro Pittman arm and all will work right or is the cardone box wrong and my original box (7819688) actually the right one. Thanks.
