Rack and pinion steering

Has anybody installed a rack and pinion steering on the stock K-member?

There are a lot of reasons it doesn't work well. The big one is the steering knuckle arm to the tierod end is too long to work with most any off the shelf racks. Causing the turning radius to be decreased.
May have to google search the topic but there are several on this site.

It's impossible to set up a rack and pinion/Geometry correctly on a 3rd gen without some insane levels of engineering and fabrication.
I've had a few designs floating around in my head, but the time and skill involved would not be worth it.
The steering system is fine when properly rebuilt.
