All you guys that have rebuilt a power steering pump. The cam that goes in the housing,does it matter which way it goes in one side of the cam has 3 dots on it?? I sure as hell don't remember when I took it apart a couple years ago

 

Yes, it matters. See if there is a partial arrow cast into the ring. That will be the pump rotational direction.
