Making a carver
What are some of the cheapest and easiest ways to increase handiliing performance? I would like to make my car handle as best as possible, i want this thing to carve, with little body roll. I have alredy lowered the car 1.5" in the rear and 1" in the front. Using spring compressors also called adjusters. I have also put on a homemade strut lower brace and new poly graphite bushing for the front sway bar and end links. I have T-tops and 2 year old stock struts and shocks.
Thanks,

I also moved the battery to the rear. Here is a pic of my homemade strut tower brace.

Larger wheels(diameter and width) make a difference,as well as larger sway bars. These are the easiest, but not so cheap unless you go to a salvage yard and pick up a set of the larger sway bars.

My car drives like it is on rails. Here is what I did to get that type of performance.
1) Boxed LCAs and panard rod and installed ES poly bushings
2) ES poly bushings in front LCAs with Heavy Duty ball joints.
3) Eibach rear springs (long story).
4) 1986 IROC front springs.
5) 1986 IROC steering box with cooler.
6) 1986 IROC front and rear sway bars with ES poly bushings and end links.
7) Spohn Subframe Connectors (they are the best).
8) Wonder bar.
9) 1LE brakes on all four wheels.
10) 1991 Z28 16" wheels with 245/50/ZR16 Dayton "Daytona" tires.
I have become rather acustomed to driving this car in a very sririted manner. But my wife desribes riding in it as "unpleasant".
Thanx,ANDYZ28

I believe tires are the most important part of the suspension.
Get some ultra high or max performance tires. Just get your suspension to use the tires full potential. As far as body roll control; springs and swaybars. Most of the stuff for our cars is off-the-shelf, low cost and easy to install.
Performance springs would lower your car and lessen the roll of your car...two birds with one stone..do your shocks/struts too while you got everthing apart.
