tire shake

i drive an 89RS... when i "get on it hard" i get MAJOR tire shake. it happens when the RPM's are at about 2000 or above and more-or-less drop the clutch... i thought it was the shocks but i had them checked and they were fine... what can my problem be? thx

Sounds like wheel hop. Weak/cheap shocks can make it worse. So can worn out bushings. LCA relocation brackets stopped my wheel hop.

I agree, sounds like some wheel hoppage. Try those suggestions. Something's flexing for it to do that as easily as you describe.
