Springs

I'm looking for springs for my 89 Iroc convertible which will maintain the factory ride height, but have a progressive rate or 'stiffer' feel than stock. Should I go with 1le springs or is there an aftermarket provider of something similar to these? Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

First off the word progressive means that as the springs compress the spring rate increases. A linear spring maintains the same rate throughout its useable travel. Here's an example of travel per inch vs. spring rate. Progressive= 1.00=150lbs, 2.00=350lbs, 3.00=600lbs, 4.00=900lbs. linear= 1.00=150lbs, 2.00=300lbs, 3.00=450lbs, 4.00=600lbs. The linear spring rate increases 150lbs per inch of travel. The progressive rate changes as the travel changes. Oh yea, yes aftermarket companies make springs that are stiffer and maintain factory ride height.
