Axleshaft difference between disk rear axles & drum rear axles?
So, is there any difference between the two axleshafts? Say, oh, I dunno, that I blew up my posi in my '84 disc brake axle.
Say I get a 90-up rear drum axle from a junkyard to haul my butt around.
Would I later, when I have a weekend free and am actually prepared with all the parts necessary, be able to use the 90-up 28 spline DRUM axleshafts in my '84 DISC rear with an SLP posi (requires 28 spline)?
Or will the rotors not fit over the DRUM axleshafts?
Thanks!!

The axles themselves will interchange. If there are any differences, it's with the mounting flange. The disk "may" not fit over the drum flange.
Aftermarket axles are interchangable to drum or disks.
