tbi suspension question
tbi suspension question
hey I was wondering if there is a differance between the camaro tbi and iroz suspension...I need to replace my front shocks and was thinking about puting new springs on.. I don't want to spend that much and was wondering if I should go with the iroc springs or aftermarket...
Do you want it to ride like a 3/4ton truck? Then get the IROC springs.
What year RS do you have and do you have the 16" wheels? If you have the 16" wheel package and you just want it to handle better but you arn't going for max g's, and still want a decent ride, then go with IROC swaybars with some decent shocks and struts and your stock springs. You could also add some Spoon subframe conectors too. It will still ride the same as stock but will stay flatter in the turns and handle better as well. IMO

im going with KYB all around soon as i get paid (hopefully) and maybe a set of eibach springs...i know the springs have to be shot...id say after 105k miles they arent as good as they should..plus the struts and shocks are original it rides pretty violent now if i hit a big bump it feels like strut is gonna come out of the hood
my car felt like that too. I didnt have a whole lot of money at the time so i replaced the shocks and struts with the cheapies from autozone. It made a huge difference. i can only imagine what a set of subframe connectors and a good aftermarket suspension setup will do. I plan on going after market soon, but I have other plans in mind first.
shocks..
my car is an 88 camaro...it looks just like an iroc.. I was thinking of going with the iroc springs if it will drop my car an inch or so. Right now the front is king of high and I do need new shocks. With 137000 on the springs I thought it would be good for the irocs since they are much cheeper then the aftermarket shocks. I want to put more money into a 350 and not the suspension right now. thanks guys
