Rear STB

i gutted my rear interior and now i see the shock top bolts kind of like two towers i see now in my rear(dont know if anyone understands) but dose anyone know were i can get and how much for a rear STB?? or a rear sway bar? if it is possible...??

if your interior is gutted just take a piece of channel or angle and make your own

There is little or no stress placed on the rear shock towers, even on hard cornering. Most of the stress is taken up by the control arm mounts, panhard rod mount, and upper spring perches. I doubt you'd see any gain from tying them (the shock towers) together or to the body in any way. Any gain you do see would be from reinforcing the body itself in general. It wouldn't be worth it (which is why one isn't made for f-bodies), but like ede said, if you can make your own from some steel-stock, it couldn't hurt any. Of course, a couple pieces of steel probably weigh about as much as the rear seats did.. hehe.

Get a rear swaybar from a junkyard if you can find one. Buying a new one won't be much better than a factory one, but will sure cost more.
