Chev Hi-Perf says get new wires...

I was reading the current issue of Chevy Hi-Performance and it was saying if you only do one thing to an engine, spiral coil wires would be an excellent idea for a much better running engine.

Huh?

Any thoughts on this? If this makes sense (and it somewhat does to me), who makes a set of dang good wires?

There are several good wire sets on the market but i have allways used MSD 8mm or 8.5mm wires. You can get them from Summit or Jegs.

You should notice better throttle response and a more "healthy sounding" engine, but as far as more horsepower, the difference is negligable. Now if you do the whole ignition system (especially on a high mile motor) you will notice a dramatic improvement, but the same could be said if you just did a normal tune-up, but things like larger gapped plugs, more juice and "free flowing" wires will only further your improvement over the stock set.
