I have a 90 Firebird. 305 & auto were removed a year and 8 months ago. Have 350 bore .060 over w/flat top pistons.A 370 horse cam from 1970 LT-1. 1.6 rocker arms. Head are ported and polished 88 vett heads.Headman Header w/4inch pipe straight out the back/o2 sensor located in the y-pipe.
Trans is a tremek 5 speed.Rear 3.27 ozpoz.
Any way the Car just stoped. No spark, No fuel being sprayed. Have power going to ignition. Fuel pump is working. ECM fuse is fine. I thought it might be the Ignition module but last time one went the injectors sprayed fuel. Ecm indicates code 12 and nothing else. It probably something simple. I had a malorey fuel pressure regulator, carb,vac Adv dis,and mainifold. I'm not really happy with the carb. It lacks torque threw out the power band.(Tryed all diffrent timing combinations!) I want the TBI back. Has any one here on THIRDGEN had this problem before? The TBI with my combination really Moves! Car ran fine w/ no codes for the last year and 6 months.

 

if it ran fine and jsut stopped one day... why'd you pull the injection off instead of fixing it?

second.. were you running this vac/mech distrubutor with the computer related stuff?

third. did it just cut out on you, or did it not start one morning

Fourth... got vats still attached?

 

I coundn't figure out the problem. So I installed the carb and dist.
No, The distributor is all mechanicial.
Just would not start the next day.
Vats is still attached, but it is work becuase the starter is working only with the dealer keys.
