hey everyone, just wanted to gloat a bit (sorry). just managed to snag a truck with a sbc 400 and a turbo 350 tranny for $500. anyone lookin for a 79 chevy truck body? i'll dump it for cheap. oh, and thinkin about selling the tranny too. and i will be staying tbi. yeah, i know its gonna suck for a while til i learn to burn chips and whatnot, but i'm gonna try to make do. gonna pick up a 350 tbi computer, injectors, and knock sensor, bunp up the fuel pressure and hopefully it'll at least run. from what i see now, there is an edelbrock performer intake (with egr), somewhat of a good cam (not sure of the specs). anyone else wanna help me out with some info? i know a couple other people were doing a swap like this, just wanna know kinda what i'm in for. thanks

 

nice. i think that puts the board up to 4 or 5 big inch motors in teh works. maybe we shoudl hav eth ebig tbi shoot out next season....lol

ok, ripped the sucker outta the truck tonight with a couple of my friends and tore down the engine with my father. for an engine older than myself, its in pretty good shape. also kinda changing plans for the setup. gonna possibly switch to a vacuum afpr and get the throttle body bored out to 48 mm. that should help a bit more. worst part about the engine is the color. some idiot down the line felt bright ***** yellow would make the thing go faster....

if I do get it....I probably will go to carb.....sorry guys.
