350 swap, I need help with parts
hey guys I have decided that I am going to purchase the 350 vortec motor that comes with 330 hp and 380 ft lb's of tourqe.
I would like to know everything that I need to do this swap so I can get everthing ordered over the summer.
I know I need to get the tbi vortec intake and a new chip burnt.
The only mod I have done to the intake is the open element.
should i do the ultimate tbi mods or just buy the 670 cfm tbi for the tbi?? Ok.....that is what i know that i need so far, what elese do i need to make this work correctly? any help would be appreciated..thanks..
my mods so far are.
edelbrock tes headers, catco cat, hooker cat back, all 3"
14x3 open element
180 degree thermostat
3.73 gears w/aburn limited slip
I have an auto. trany..

Try a search-that is your best bet. You will need a new knock sensor. If you leave egr enable, you might need to get a little creative. Don't ask me why, I just know egr is different with the vortechs. Also, you WILL need bigger injectors, regardless of whether or not you go with the Holley 670, which comes with 65 lb/hr injectors I believe. You might try to look for a TBI off of a 454 and get larger injectors for that as well. Make sure your flexplate is in good condition as well-they tend to crack. Best of luck.
