What are these connectors/wires?

I was looking a little closer at my wiring on my passenger side on the firewall side and I noticed there were 2 connectors that weren't connected to anything. one had a black wire going to it and the other had a orange wire going to it. What are these suppose to connect to and could this be effecting this recent problem I am having with my car? Thank you very much. I will try to get a picture of it if that isn't a good enough description.

Here is the recent problem I have had.

this problem could be caused by a LOT of things.... i would try to see if u can get the coil, and ignition module tested at a part store (advanced auto, autoparts, etc) i have heard however the ign module either works or it does not so in this case it could be it and causing u not to have any spark at all . The fuse next to the battery for the computer but it prolly is good because u would not be getting codes :P vats alert? for 53.. but with vats the engine will not turn over if it is triped correct? 54 dont know why u would get that. fuel pump low voltage and that really would not keep it from atleast turning over because there was gas in there. if the comptuer was bad i would think that it would not even have codes... check the connections to ur distributor, coil and well anythign u can find. i dont know if any of this helped u pretty much repeated every thing lol. i have had my fair share if problems but i have always been able to start it just ran like **** i dont know but first thing comes to first get the spark

try to get those pics soon prolly just some extra wires gm put there because there too cheep to remove them if u dont have a option
