Emissions and intake manifolds

Well, I would liek to get a manifold soon, but it looks as if the ONLY one availble for me, is the Performer TBI, as the Performer and Performer RPM aren't emissions-legal (no EGR) and I live in California :-P

Assuming I get the Performer TBI, then the Holley 670 wouldnt do much good later on down the road would it? Also, I dont think the manifold AND uising the adapter plate AND my drop air cleaner would fit under that hood.

Any suggestions as to which road I should take? I also plan on an LT1 cam and SR Torquer 305 heads w/ 1.6 rockers. Should I keep my stock TBI and beef that up along with the Performer TBI, or is there a way I can eventually use the 670 CFM holley with an emissions legal intake manifold (or is the 670 not even legal for california?!?)

I know this is a lot of info, but I really appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks!

Eric

Forget about switching to the Holley if you want to keep things legal. Just get the Performer tbi intake, LT1 Cam, Heads, Edelbrock or SLP headers, 3" cat back exhaust and do the Ultimate TBI Mods and you'll have a very strong emisions legal car.
