406 help

I have a 1991 R.S. it had a 305 t.b.i. in it. I pulled it droped a 406 s.b. and 400 heads in. put my factory intake,ac,pullies, distributer ect. on it. sounds good right. It's got spark and fuel. I am sure I am on t.d.c. but it wont start. any ideas? "O" I tried 1 gear back too. still nothing.

have you turn ed up teh fuel a bit to compensate for the added displacement? and try advancing the timing a few degrees. you have big inches and low compression there, so it will take a bit more fuel adn timing to get it turned over.

hope this helps

later

Try turning the distributor 180 degrees and try again. How do you know you have spark? Have you made sure you have the firing order correct?

are your rockers over tightened? you may or may not be able to hear while its cranking. Lack of compression sound.
