I now own 2 vehicles with tbi

91 z71 black reg cab sport side.
130k miles on her.

350tbi, 5 spd

Soon i will have the 355 in the camaro now that i have another daily driver. I will keep everybody posted on progress with both.

back from the days of old, the redesigned tbi and pod ideas are making a come back as i get more emails from people wondering about the past posts while they are doin searches. again, i will keep updates. I no longer visit the tbi board as much as i used to, mainly because i dont really have any questions, or any time, and the time i do have i play everquest .

anyway, just thought i would keep you all updated. btw, i just went from omaha to vegas in the camaro. she is at 130k now. try as i might the 305 is not dead yet and i got 28 mpg out of the her. I have owned this car since 97 and never had a problem with the engine tranny or rear end. or anyother part of the car, except tires and brakes (my fault)! *** LOVE CHEVY's.

I also want to announce that i have a bunch of chevy brochures from 02 for sale. (read YES camaro ones) as well as some older corvette brochures. all for sale if the price is right. I will be selling them in a few years to other people on ebay that forgot to go grab theirs at the dealers.

i will probably be comin back to the boards A LOT more when i get the 355 in. its kinda crappy driving the camaro when the truck is faster LOL.

one question for anybody reading. while going through all the altitudes, my engine stayed at a great temp. in vegas however, it went straight to reline unless i was moving. think my fan is dying? unopening stat? gung in the radiator? i just had it flushed though. And as for the altitude, check engine light would come on every once and a while. if i shut the car off and then turned it on it went away. i didnt have my computer to check for codes, this is altitude related im sure. but why doesnt the light turn off like in newer cars after the car returns to correct a/f etc...

How's your MAP sensor lookin? When you turn off the cars it's probably takin in new baro readings and resetting itself. I'm no expert at this, but the MAP sensor is what controls the barometric readings (Im sure you already know this).

As for the cooling, it might be the fan not working as well as it used to. If you're not moving and overheating, then it's not scavenging the air properly. Could be other things, but that's what comes to my mind first.

You guys drop like flies around here:sillylol:

Welcome to the Mojave Desert! And BTW, why didn't you look me up when you were out this way? Yes it is HOT out here, and you will be running temps around 220 or so in the summer even with the fan on 100% of the time.
It's the climate. When it cools off in Fall all through Spring, when temperatures are in the 50's to 80's it's about normal. It is just Summer that is hard on our cars.
Driving on the highways you will expect to see temps drop down (at around 65 MPH) to about 180-190 or so. It's just hot air.
Yeah, when you're driving in the hottest, driest desert in the country, it is just that way!

You drove all the way out here and didn't visit? Grrr.

sorry snowy, i didnt have time really to leave the strip too much. though if you are 21+ you would have had a kicka$s time hangin out with all the girls we did. not to mention seeing eminem at the hardrock club, babies, i think it was called. I think i went to every club out there except the beach, club light, and studio 54. my friends went to those clubs while i gambled with some gourgous women from ann arbor. 5th grade teachers. I wish my 5th grade teacher was as hot as they were. LOL

the rest of em we got into for free because a girl i work with sells gift certificates from omaha steaks to the casinos. 100k$ +, shes out every 2 weeks, knows all the club managers, and how to get in to em free, one she is smokin, and two her boyfriend owns a club here in omaha.

Ya, i will be messing with both tbi's but im tired of doing little shiz like swappin tb's and messing with fp. im thinking cams, intakes and heads for the truck. its for sure gona have 36's and 3" body, with straight duals. mwahahahahhh

o ya, and dont worry, I WILL BE BACK OUT THERE.

Good to know.

Good to know. If you ever come out again, check out our F-Body club, LV-FBody Association. We have weekly meetings every Sunday at 7:30pm. More information at the website, http://www.lvfbody.com
Yeah I am over 21, working hard and overtime is what I do most of the time, but yeah, next time you're out this way, come see me and the others of F-Body distinctions....
