!!**help Help**!! Please Help Me

To anyone and everyone,
I recently bought some headers for my 91 Formula. THe problem is that when removing one of the bolts on the factory exhaust manifolds it broke off, and two other bolts just won't budge. I am not too worried about the one that broke as I am of the two that won't come out. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to use to get them out... Thanks for reading this and please reply back if you have any suggestions.

Will

First thing to try is some 'Liquid Wrench' or other penetrating oil. Spray the bolt area liberally and let it soak in overnight. I have also heard that light periodic tapping will encourage the oil to enter and disrupt corrosion.

Hopefully, the penetrating oil will do the trick. I haven't looked at what type of bolts are used but if they are hexagonal, make sure that you use a six point socket and not a 12 point. A 12 point will round off the corners more easily and then you'll have more fun.

You might consider buying a Snap-On socket specifically for this job. Their sockets are designed to apply force to the flats of the bolt head rather than the corners.

Good luck!
