New track time.

Just thought I'd post my new time dropped .3 sec and +1mph for $3.

15.46 @88.1 mph 2.20 60' old time was 15.76 @87mph

All I changed was my T-stat. the car was running ~70* cooler ~160* tonight(a/c = fan switch) vs. 230+*(failing t-stat) and air temp was probably 15-20* cooler high 60s i'd guess(Orlando).

I'm gonna see how fast I can go with the stock manifolds/y-pipe, I'm thinking around 14.7 @ 93-94mph.

Right now all I have is 3.73 gears/posi, K&N, 160* stat, cat-back, hyperjunk chip.

I have an AL driveshaft in the mail and a preformer intake waiting to go on, as well as a L98 cam lying around too.

why on earth would you attempt that feat? the stock manifolds and y pipe are pathetic and going much faster is going to be near impossible with them.

I gained a half second (16.0 to 15.56) when my car was basically bone stock from headers and catback

I'm running 91 mph trap speeds @ 15.4 with the stock headers and y-pipe.. I know with headers I can shave off more, but I'd also be shaving off some skin from a header swap too and I need use of my hands lately hehe

Going faster is easy, getting good times is hard.

The skin on your hands will grow back...the embarrassment from the slow times at the track will leave scars forever. Header swap isnt even that hard. Suck it up and put some headers, y pipe, and catback on there or youll never break 14s.

I have free headers on my other car 1200 miles away from where I go to school(NY vs FL). I'll probably swap them during winter break. I have to decide if I want to keep building on this car or try to replace the engine in my other car(GTA) during winter break.

I got A/C and smog stuff in the way, makes for a fun swap...

I've already had to change gaskets on the drivers side, pita and finally no cash!!!

When I get the cash for it, I'll do it, till then I'm actually going to work on the traction issue, I'm slipping a lot off the line till it hooks.

I need new springs, shocks, lca's and a new b-pillar... that's higher on my priority list than headers at the moment.

This is me and tanager going at it, I'm the blue one on the left. Look at the little TBI squat heh...
