Hey all, before I start putting some combos together for killer hp, I just thought it would be cool to here some of your ideals.
I'm for know gonna stay with the TBI until I get money for tpi and harness.
So any killer hp combo suggestions will be great.
TBI-350 two-bolt main
Vortec Heads.
I already have the Headers and MSD ignition system.
I'm just looking for some suggestions on what to put in the 350.
Cam?
Bigger Valves? (Stock Vortec Iron Heads)
Stock or Diff. Pistons?
Thanks All,

Do you have to remain emmission legal? Visual or sniffer test?
I don't have to because... well I got connections.
But for now, I'm gonna stay emmisions legal.

If your building for future mods the one and only thing you need to concentrate on is building a stout bottom end.
However, that depends on what future mods you're planning.
Naturally aspirated..... Stock pieces can work fine up to ~400HP including a 2 bolt main. Moly rings, Spreed Pro hypereutectic flat tops, Cleveite 77 bearings, ARP rod and main bolts, and a double roller timing chain would be suggested though. If you plan on more HP than that (i.e. high RPM) then I'd suggest 4 bolt mains, forged pistons, forged rods and a steel crank.
Nitrous..... As long as you keep the use to a minimum and stay ~150HP, hypereutectic pistons are fine as long as you don't go over the 450HP total mark. Any more use or HP and you should get forged pistons. If you plan on using it a lot, the 4 bolt mains, forged rods, and a forged crank are in order.
Supercharged...... Forged pistons, forged rods (maybe even H rods), forged crank. It doesn't matter if your only gonna be pushin' 6 lbs of boost------ GO ALL FORGED!!!!!!
These are just basic "rule of thumbs" to go by. If you want the engine to last, and be able to handle just about any mod you can put on it, don't skimp!!!!! Get the good stuff. But if you're looking to go 350-400HP at the most, then hyper pistons, Clevite bearings, and ARP bolts are things that are "cheap insurance"

I'm looking to get about 300-350HP out of it.

300-350 is pretty easy goal to achieve. You could just drop in the 350HO Vortec motor or pretty much any stock shortblock with decent aftermarket heads and aftermarket roller cam with any of the intake choices that you like. Preferrably intakes that will fit under the hood that you intend to use.
